The Associated Hospitals Contributing to
Vanderbilt Surgical Education

Historically, Vanderbilt University Hospital, Saint Thomas Hospital, the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Nashville, and the Nashville General Hospital have comprised the associated hospitals of the Vanderbilt surgical program. The VA Tennessee Valley Health Care System (VATVHS) affiliation now includes both the Nashville campus, adjacent to Vanderbilt, and the Alvin C. York campus at Murfreesboro, 35 miles to the southeast.
