Temporomandibular Joint Disorders
Temporomandibular joint disorders can be difficult to diagnose and to treat. A strong commitmet has been made by the Vaderbilt Center or Craniofacial Treatment to the surgical correction of TMJ dysfunction.

For many patients surgery and total joint reconstruction can make significant progress to relieve chronic pain.

This pain is present in the preauricular region and can radiate to the top of the head, down to the mandible or to the side of the neck. TMJ disorders often condemn their sufferers to a life of discomfort while interfering with social and work life.
